An organization in a subdivision, planned community or condominium that makes and enforces rules for the properties in its jurisdiction. HOAs also collect monthly or annual dues to pay for upkeep of common areas like parks, tennis courts, elevators and swimming pools and can levy special assessments on homeowners when the association lacks sufficient reserves to pay for unexpected repairs.
Covenants and Restrictions
All homeowners in the Cedar Cove Townhome Development are subject to the Covenants and Restrictions of the Cedar Cove Townhome Association. To obtain a copy of the Covenants and Restrictions please click on the link below. As a reminder to all residents the following provisions are stated in the association Covenants and Restrictions:
- Pets. Townhome owners shall not keep more than two (2) dogs or cats. The keeping, harboring, or kenneling of the breeds of Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, and Chows, or any dog with lineage thereof, shall be prohibited.
- Members' Maintenance of Townhome Lots. Each Member shall be responsible for the exterior maintenance of the dwelling unit, including the exterior walls, windows, and roof, located on the Townhome Lot.
- Fencing. Fencing shall not be allowed
- Accessory Structures. Accessory structures such as storage sheds and playhouses shall not be permitted. Playground equipment and other recreational equipment shall not be permitted, except as installed by the Association in the Common Areas. Basketball hoops and/or standards are prohibited.
- Dog Kennels. No dog run or kennel shall be permitted.
- Satellite Dish. Any satellite dish shall be located and screened so as to be unobtrusive as is reasonably possible. Any satellite dish shall not exceed 24" in diameter.
